Through 30 years of construction industry experience, Dan Sinay has gained knowledge of low-slope and steep-slope roofing, waterproofing, sheet metal, stucco & EIFS, fenestration (windows & doors) and other construction-related materials and processes literally “from the ground up”. He possesses a working knowledge of all phases of the construction industry.
During his tenure as a roofing and waterproofing consultant, Dan has conducted investigative roofing, waterproofing and building envelope analyses for litigation support, specification development and cost analysis. In addition, Dan has designed roofing and waterproofing systems and provided services such as Roof Project Management, Pre-Bid and Pre-Job Conferences, Quality Assurance Observations, and Final Inspections. Dan has also has vast experience in wind uplift testing, Infrared thermography, nuclear moisture testing, and window testing.
As a construction defect Expert Witness, Dan has been involved in numerous litigation investigations related to building envelope waterproofing issues and has provided Expert Witness testimony in mediations, depositions and at trial.
Dan’s Building Envelope Quality Assurance Inspection credentials include many high profile projects for clients such as The University of Central Florida, Volusia County FL, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World, Tampa International Airport, Coco Cola, and Kennedy Space Center.
“Hands-on” experience includes working as a roofing contractor, roofing estimator, and project manager for both large-scale and small-scale commercial and residential projects. Dan also held positions at the University of Central Florida as the building envelopes professional, and the Assistant Director of General Contracting.
Dan is a licensed Florida general contractor CGC 1518681, and a level 1 certified infrared thermographer.
